Familiars are those magical little animal sidekicks that hang out with witches and other spooky characters. They were the perfect inspiration for Kimberly Kight’s fake cereal in her Egg and Friends collection. That cereal box turned into a fun Halloween collection featuring a not-too-scary crew of bats, frogs, cats, goofy spiders, and owls. Alexia added some witchy touches with ephemera, friendly jack-o’-lanterns, and new Halloween shades of Starry, while Melody brought in her print Who Cooks for You, named after the Barred Owl’s call. It all comes together in a playful, slightly spooky vibe, with classic Halloween colors accompanied by pops of citron and teal!
Ruby Star Society starts with five women working collaboratively and supportively to design delightful, beautiful fabrics, and it continues with you: Every person who has looked at a wall stacked high with bolts of fabric and felt that first spark of inspiration, imagination swirling, colors calling, all promise and possibility. Founded on the belief that a good idea is worth fighting for, this sisterhood consists of: Melody Miller, Kimberly Kight, Rashida Coleman Hale, Alexia Marcelle Abegg, and Sarah Watts.
