The Decennium quilt was created for the wonderful women of the Ruby Star Society to celebrate their decade of collaboration in design. This quilt is compatible with the Ruby Star 10 Years of Magic panel or any fabrics of your choice, making it ideal for fussy cutting and traditional piecing.
The Decennium pattern marks the debut pattern from Sewtopia, written by Megan White-Callahan, our Creative Director. Stay tuned for additional patterns in the pipeline. Sewtopia was established in 2014 in Salt Lake City, Utah, with the aim of connecting the online sewing community with real-world interactions with sewing retreats. Since then, it has expanded to more than a dozen locations across the United States. In 2018, an online store was launched offering modern fabrics, patterns, and merchandise. With our amazing customer support, a physical retail store was opened in Utah in 2020. Sewtopia collaborates with companies, designers, and customers to nurture creativity and foster a love for sewing.
Founder Amy Newbold, who began quilting in 2010 influenced by her mother-in-law, resides in Salt Lake City, Utah, with her family. With a background in business operations and accounting, Amy volunteered as Treasurer for the Modern Quilt Guild before founding Sewtopia in 2013. In her free time, she enjoys thrifting, quilting, dislikes long beach walks but loves sushi. Creative Director Megan White-Challahan, known as the "wrangler of all the cats," found her love for sewing in 7th grade and has been refining her skills ever since. Residing in Sacramento, California, she treasures time with her family, nurturing her growing twins, and enjoying activities such as biking and crafting.
