In 1933, Naozo Nomura founded a trading company in Kyoto, which evolved into today's LECIEN. The name "LECIEN" was inspired by a French company. LECIEN began manufacturing embroidery post-war and introduced two color-dyed lace, leading to the foundation of their lace business.
