Elizabeth Hartman is a quilter, pattern designer, and fan of color from Portland, Oregon. After teaching herself to quilt in 1999, she was hooked and has been making quilts ever since. For Elizabeth, quiltmaking is the perfect combination of creativity and technical challenge, all in the service of making a useful object. In 2014, Elizabeth founded Patterns by Elizabeth Hartman, through which she has published more than 80 pictorial quilt patterns, mostly with plant and animal motifs. Her goal is to create patterns that celebrate color, fit into a modern home, and make you smile.
