As eighty attendees sew, indulge, and engage at Sewtopia, the incredible and often hidden work of staff hums like a well-oiled machine. We need an incredible small group of individuals that support the event around the country. Each event will need two to four individuals to give a week or more of their lives to help us make the event happen.
We ask that staff/volunteers be available either on the night shift or day shift. They will be in and out of the Sewing Lounge. Successful applicants both staff/volunteer will receive a free pass to the event and are not required to have purchased a ticket. Applicants will hear back by the end of February regarding their status.
Sewtopia volunteers must commit to working a minimum of one shift per event per day (approx. 24 hours total) over the entire event. Sewtopia staff commits to working setup and teardown (approx.. 40 hours total). Staff members are paid. W-2s are the wage and Tax Statement forms for reporting income to the IRS.
