Tamara is an illustrator, quilter and educator based in Montreal. Both her fabrics and her quilts have been featured in a number of North American quilting magazines and she regularly creates original quilts for companies within the textile industry. Having spent her youth in the Caribbean plays a large part in Tamara's design aesthetic. She is greatly inspired by nature, color and pattern and plays on a combination of her weekend wanderings, her children's current fascinations and her own memories to tell stories through design. She creates work that is fresh, joyous and youthful with a touch of whimsy.
"Gardens have become a sanctuary for many of us over the last few years ... a place of calm, beauty and reflection that is ever-evolving and teeming with life. ANEW features bits of the joy and positivity we can find in nature, from petalled blossoms and showy leaves, to delightful winged creatures and above all, COLOR!"-Tamara
ANEW: adv. In a new or different and typically more positive way.
